Common questions
What should an EV warning sign say?
That high voltage work is in progress, that unauthorised access is prohibited, and who is in charge of the area. A generic electrical hazard triangle on its own does not tell anybody who to ask.
Do we need signs if we already have barriers?
Yes, and they do different jobs. The barrier physically stops someone. The sign explains why and who to speak to, which is what stops them moving the barrier.
Where should the procedure poster go?
Where the work happens, not in the office. A poster nobody passes on the way to the bay is decoration.
